The Egyptian people had many changes from the ancient world with their breakthroughs with technology and their depiction of religion.
Social- They first dynasty was made when Menes became pharaoh when he died his son took over than his son took over and so on. The social status of ancient Egypt was that the Pharaoh was on the top, government officials with nobles and priests, soldiers, scribes, merchants, craftsman, and at the bottom were farmers and slaves |
Religious- They are polytheistic but akenaton changed it to monotheistic. He changed it because he thought that he was the son of Aton the sun god and worshiped just Aton. When his son became pharaoh king Tutankhamen he changed it back to polytheistic. The Egyptians believed that the pharaoh was a connection to the gods. Some pharaohs believed that the were gods them self and they were the human form of that god. When ever the pharaohs died the embalm the pharaoh. They did this because the wanted the to have a nice life after death. |
Environment-The Nile is the longest river to date. It begins in central Africa and runs 4,000 miles north to the Mediterranean Sea. Egyptian civilization developed along a 750 mile stretch. The Nile's flood allowed the kushites to plant both summer and winter crops. Among the crops they grew were wheat, barley, and other grains. The banks of the Nile also provided grazing for livestock. |
